Final Day of Volunteering
Today was our last day filing files for the clinic. We were able to get up to I in the alphabet for the files. Ms. Wyatt noted on how much she appreciated our work. I know that even though we did not fet all of the files completed, we did the best work we could do. i enjoyed working with Elizabeth, AJ, and Cristina. This time spent in the clinic showed me just how much work is needed to be done to succesfully provide healthcare. Well as I sign off I recommend to anyone who wants to pursue some form of volunteer work to check out HHH!
File Sorting and Shredding
During our last visit on the 16th of Aptil, Elizabeth and I were shredding files for the medical office. This process was not as time consuming as last time and with a new technique I developed, we were moving at a pretty efficient pace. Cristina and Aj were busy putting all of the files in proper order. My group and I discussed how we were going to divide the pamphlet information. Ultimately our time spent was very effective.

Back with the Group!!
Last Friday the group was once again assembled and ready to file the files for the clinic. I arrived with Elizabeth to the clinic and was told by AJ and Cristinia that Yao Ming was actually in the clinic visiting the young children! I wasn't able to see him personally, but it was an honor knowing that such an athelete would take time out of his day to visit the less fortunate. As usuall we continued our file stacking and correcting. Hopefully by the end of our visits we could be able to say that we finished with the entire file list. See ya next time!

Spring Break Volunteering
This is Friday's edition of volunteering at HHH during spring break. Once again Elizabeth and I were back in the office reorganizing the files for their patients. I was not really sure that reorganizing the files would be such an important asset to the clinic staff until I noticed how much trouble the staff has locating files. One of the clinic assistance continually come into the office to gather files for the patients. It took her less time and frustation going through correctly labeled files. She thanked us for our work and hoped that we would continue through the entire alphabet. Just by seeing how effective our service has been lets me know how important our work has been.
Spring Break Volunteering
Thursday was one of the two days where Elizabeth and I went into HHH to offer some assistance with helping to reorganize the patient charts. Without Cristina and AJ to offer some assistance, the workload was a little overwhelming but in the end, Elizabeth and I were able to get the job done. Normally we volunteer when the clinic is actually closed but we went in to voluteer during the peek hours of business. It was good seeing the faces of the employees serving the less fortunate.

File Set Up success
This past Friday our team was able to work together to put the files of the patients within the clinic in proper order. There is plenty of work to still be done but we have made some progress since last friday. What I quickly learned from this experience is the hard work and labor it takes to keep the records in proper maintanence. We have the entire alphabet to arrange and we have finally crossed from the a to the c portion. Obviously so much work is left to be done...... Stay tuned for next weeks work.

Shredding Away!
This past Friday Ms. Wyatt split our group apart where Cristina and AJ were reorganizing the files of new and older patients within the clinic. They seemed to have gotten alot of work done within the filing room. As for me and Elizabeth, we were working within the copy room shredding away confidential information to the patients and staff. I never knew how much work shredding papers could be! It took nearly two hours to get six trashbags full of paper. Next week I believe we will be working as whole group in reorganizimg the remaining files within the filing room.
